It’s hard to believe it’s already mid-June; two weeks ago I was using a portable heater to warm up my living room at night and now for the last two days I have had to break out the fans to deal with 90 degree days and 75 degree nights. That’s New England for you!
I have several speaking engagements coming up this summer, so thought I’d list them all here in one easy-to-reference place.
After speaking at over 30 libraries across Massachusetts in the last year or so, I’ll be making my first forays into Rhode Island libraries this summer!

Saturday, June 27, 12:00 Noon – Plumb Memorial Library, 17 Constitution Way, Rochester, MA “Destination Italy with Matt Davis: Exploring the Land, the Cuisine, and the Culture” This will be my fourth appearance at Rochester’s Plumb Memorial Library, which I now consider my patron library! I’m debuting a new travelogue presentation about my favorite country in the world!

In addition, look for me to appear on WJAR TV’s Studio 10 program in the next couple of weeks, and if you live anywhere in southeastern Massachusetts, I am offering 4 courses this fall for Bridgewater State University’s Senior College. Courses are for those over 60, non-credit, 6 weeks long with a meeting once a week. I am offering Media Psych: TV and Society; La Dolce Vita: Exploring Italy’s History, Language, and Culture – both held at the Center for Active Living in Sandwich, MA. I will also teach Why Did I do That? The Power of Social Influence; and Life on an Unpredictable Planet: Coping with the Threats Posed by Natural Disasters at locations in Bridgewater, MA.
