As of today, my book At Home in the World: Reflections of a Travel Addict is available on Amazon as either a paperback or a Kindle/e-book. This is a project I’ve thought about for years, and that it finally came to fruition is really pretty surreal. If you’ve enjoyed reading my blogs here, I think you’ll find the book to your liking. I put a lot of myself into it and I am really pleased with the results and hope you will be too!
I’ve prepared a little trailer to hopefully pique your interest in the book.

CHAPTER 1: Learn about all the things I can blame on my mother and hear the tale of how the 16-year-old version of me pictured above flew off to California for a vacation by himself…

CHAPTER 2 – AUSTRALIA: Aside from cuddling koala bears and hitting a kangaroo with my rental car, Tinky-Winky, one of the most infamous Teletubbies, was seen snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef!

CHAPTER 3 – NEW ZEALAND: Discover the strange festivities that take place on Gumboot Day and see the results of my training as a Māori warrior.

CHAPTER 4 – TAHITI: Learn how one of the most beautiful places on the planet could inspire me to write new lyrics for a Shania Twain song.

CHAPTER 5 – JAPAN: Words of caution about ordering sashimi – and how I may have contributed to choking deaths among the elderly by helping make a popular Japanese confection.

CHAPTER 6 – EGYPT & JORDAN: Learn about the infamous “camel incident” that nearly sidelined me in Cairo and follow me through a slot canyon to the ancient city of Petra, Jordan.

CHAPTER 7 – ISRAEL: Visiting Biblical sites, bobbing in the Dead Sea, and who’d have guessed that the best apple pie ever would be found in Jerusalem?

CHAPTER 8 – TURKEY: Why is the place pictured above on the left called “Love Valley” and is the building on the right a new condo development in the Flintstones’ hometown of Bedrock?

CHAPTER 9 – ITALY: Choose when you order the drink on the left very carefully, and in Rome, clean your plate or ELSE!

CHAPTER 10 – THE UNITED KINGDOM: A battle rages over who serves the best English scones and tea – while giants cross the seas between Scotland and Northern Ireland.

CHAPTER 11 – CROATIA: Why would I leave a perfectly good suitcase behind, and what is going on in the picture on the right?

CHAPTER 12 – GREECE: A creature lurking in the crystal-clear waters off Milos that might have startled even Ulysses; visit an island where sunset is a destination.

CHAPTER 13 – ICELAND: Is it a case of an un-mown lawn or is there some other reason for this grass-covered church? Searching for jewels on a black sand beach.
And I’ve only scratched the surface here! Follow the link below for the answers to all of these questions and more:
All the best and I hope you’ll enjoy the book!
